The Hotel du Printemps is a few steps away from the Place de la Nation, in the heart of the Bel Air quarter of Paris, with its twice-weekly open-air market and scores of restaurants and shops. The famed Parisian department store, Printemps, has a branch close to the hotel.

The Place de la Nation was formerly called Place du Trône (Plaza of the Throne) to honor the entrance of Louis XIV and Marie-Thérèse of Austria into Paris just after their marriage. The name temporarily became Place du Trône-Renversé (Plaza of the ‘Overthrown Throne’) during the French Revolution. On 14 July 1880, it was finally officially named Place de la Nation in honor of the first national holiday.

The Nation metro station gives access to four metro lines (1, 2, 6, and 9) and the RER A line which crosses the whole of Paris from east to west. From the Hotel du Printemps, you can rapidly travel to any part of the city, to Disneyland Paris or to Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports. To reach Roissy, you can take bus 351 or the Air France bus at the Gare de Lyon train station. If you’d rather admire the scenery while traveling around the city, bus lines 57, 86 and 56 are close to the hotel, as is the Noctambus, which circulates throughout the capital at night.

• From Gare de Lyon station: Take line 1 towards Château de Vincennes, get off at Nation, exit at Avenue du Trône, take the second right.
• From Gare Montparnasse station: Take line 6 towards Nation, get off at Picpus station.
• From Gare du Nord station: Take line 2 (La Chapelle metro station beneath the train station) towards Nation, get off at Nation, exit Avenue du Trône, take the second right.
• From Gare de l’Est station: Take line 5 towards Place d’Italie until République, then take line 9 towards Mairie de Montreuil, get off at Nation, exit at Avenue du Trone, take the second right.
• From Gare d’Austerlitz station: Take line 5 towards Bobigny until Bastille, then take line 1 towards Château de Vincennes, get off at Nation, exit at Avenue du Trone, take the second right.
• From Gare St. Lazare station: Take line 14 towards Bibliothèque until Bercy, then take line 6 towards Nation, get off at Picpus.
• From Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport: take the RER B towards Robinson/ Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse until Châtelet, then RER A towards Marne la Vallée, get off at Nation, exit avenue du Trône, take the second right.
• From Orly airport: Take the Orlyval until Antony, take the RER B towards Roissy Charles de Gaulle to Châtelet, then take the RER A towards Marne la Vallée, get off at Nation, exit at Avenue du Trône, take the second right.
