Client comments
Very nice, very well-maintained. For my upcoming stays in Paris I know where to sleep.

”Lovely hotel, with clean rooms, a very well-located hotel. Friendly. The breakfast cost 7 euros and was very complete. I'll spend my next stay in Paris there. Truly commendable.”

The place was very cosy, the host and the staff polite! Likewise, it was the closest to all the major interest points of Paris. And what delicious mornings: croissants and coffee! My wife and I came to this hotel twice: in July 2003 and June 2005. And now in September 2006. We'll be back!

We used to live in Paris and our friends and family often stayed at this hotel. Therefore we had no concerns about staying here ourselves. The hotel is very well-maintained; the rooms are small but clean. And at 50 euros per room, what a bargain in Paris! The area is nice - but a word of advice, when leaving the hotel, turn left! Place de la Nation is not my favourite place in Paris. Instead head down along Boulevard Picpus towards Avenue Daumesnil for a real Parisian experience. There are adorable cafés and bars all along the sidewalks. The 12th arrondissement is a hidden jewel. It's neither full of tourists nor garish - we lived here for three years and loved it. Another treat: a trip to the Bois de Vincennes with its magnificent gardens and zoo, and a walk around the lovely Daumesnil Lake at sunrise to see the Pagoda next to the lake. And for nightlife, go to the new Bercy Village - not a tourist in sight. Ah, yes, the hotel. You undoubtedly won't spend much time here but it offers a perfect base, small and clean, where you'll stay in complete safety with a pleasant, friendly staff.

The closest underground station is Picpus; the most practical: Nation. Shower/toilet in a small but adequate room; excellent patisseries in the area; lovely, quiet area. The daytime staff was particularly helpful (I think it was the manager, he had the best English) - an English much better than my inadequate French. A nice hotel, elevator, reasonable price. We stayed for six nights in June 2004. We would gladly come back, but we'd also like to try other places.
